Public website traffic counters.

Scope: optional first-party analytics on the homepage and app listing.

When enabled, we use simple first-party counters to understand how our public homepage and app listing are used. We count page views by UTC date, public page and a limited list of referring domains. Other referring sites are grouped as Other; direct visits and internal navigation have separate categories. We do not use these counters to identify individual visitors or estimate unique people.

This feature sends no cookies, account identifiers, names, emails, full referring URLs, URL queries/fragments, form content or screenshots. It creates no fingerprint or persistent visitor identifier and stores no raw IP address. A random per-page request nonce briefly prevents duplicate counting; it is unrelated to your account or device. At most the current and prior minute’s nonce buffers are retained, overwritten when new views arrive; buffers can remain unchanged while the site is idle.

Daily aggregates are shown for the last 90 UTC dates. Older aggregates are removed when collection next processes a new period; idle data can remain until then. Only authorized administrators can view these totals. Authenticated/private pages, including account, admin and request screens, are excluded. Public pages are counted without identifying whether the viewer has an account. Counters are approximate and can miss visits because of browser restrictions or collection limits. The site owner can pause collection without deleting existing reports. A public page periodically checks whether collection is enabled; these checks carry no account cookie or referring-page URL and are not recorded as page views.

Our hosting, authentication and security services process requests independently of these counters. This notice describes only public traffic counters; account and change-request services process their own data, and hosting providers have separate logging policies.
